Rebranding Dragonfly Expression!

Ever since I made all the final decisions for the new brand name, logo and colour palette, I’ve been thinking on how I should launch the new brand.

As you can see, Dragonfly Expression’s logo and brand has undergone a significant transformation. The new identity had to satisfy all of the existing expectations of what my original artistic design stands for...while simultaneously moving the brand forward. Striving to maintain the quality and creativity as an artist was my primary goal.

Thanks to the professionalism and the eternal patience toward my indecisiveness,
Caroline Langevin, branding designer at Caro Design, made the brand enhancement
more than just a logo makeover—it is a reflection of my company’s renewed commitment to making my client’s vision for their project a reality.

I am excited to continue to provide you with the quality and uniqueness of my custom floral artistry you are accustom with. In the coming months I will launch even more new products  and a fresh new look on my websites, online Etsy shop and social media with the goal of always serving your needs better.

Large Paper Flower Backdrop

Good day my lovelies!
Wow! It's been a while since I wrote a post here on the blog.

I thought to start 2015 with a BANG!!!

Since I ship my blooms all over the world, I don't get to mount the flowers onto the surface - My clients do...and they always do an A.MA.ZING job!

Lets start with a fun project I did this past summer...I designed paper flowers for a photo backdrop at a celebrity event hosted by the lovely Lauren Conrad!
I KNOW!!!!!
How fabulous is to see  photos of Lauren Conrad standing in front of my flowers! The soirée at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel on July 9, 2014 in Miami, Florida
featured the new Malibu Island Spice Rum.

Here is a stunning window installation at the studio of Pistils & Petals Miami Beach.
I think the ladies did a fantastic job with the purple flowers that I originally made for a Bat Mitzvah installation and they re-used in their front street window!

As seen on STYLE ME PRETTY! That's right...the backdrop was part of a style shoot created by  Toronto designer Lisa Ho and the photos were captured by Laura Clarke Photography

I mounted the flowers for this wall for a super sweet local bride!
Weddings & Events by Sylvain put together the fabulous decor - I mean...Look at this room...So rich looking!  Julie Whitlock Photography captured the event!

The following wall was mounted by Mandy, designer at Khazana Creations, Wedding Decor, I had the pleasure to meet Mandy and she's one talented lady that know exactly how to put together large project!...Her work is totally mesmerizing

Another beauty! This wedding decor was created by Cantu's Special Events - I also made the flowers that were pinned at the back of every two chairs...it makes the whole paper
flower concept flow together!

Here comes the last wedding of the year!
The love celebration happened on December 31st, 2014!

The event was designed by the super wonderful Andrea Hounsell of Something Borrowed, Something Blue - Event Planning & Decor and her team...I sometime get credits for my work from Event Planner...but Andrea wrote a few words on her blog that truly reached my heart:

"I stumbled across the maritime artisan shop Dragonfly Expression, who do wonderfully detailed work with paper – huge lifelike flower bursts, that were each personally constructed.  I ordered boxes of them. As the event grew close, my patient staff at Something Borrowed Something Blue (under the direction of the artist herself) constructed a wall of these flowers. When we hung it, it gave me butterflies. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the whole Something Borrowed Something Blue team so excited about a single piece of decor.
Watching it take shape, as each piece was placed and re-placed to perfection, even delivery men were stopping to stare."

A few more backdrops in the making!
Stay tune to view more fabulous
paper flower walls I designed for my wonderful clients!
Until then, smile!

Offbeat Bride and Real Weddings!

Happy Thursday Lovelies!
Sorry for taking so long to share with you more loveliness!

I finally have a few photos of my paper creations at real weddings!
To start...I'd like to deeply thank my brides and their photographers for sharing the photos with me!

Let's start with Whisper and Dustin's wedding...They married on the famous 12.12.12. in Las Vegas!
While working in Korea...Whisper had contacted me almost a year before the wedding to see if I could make a bouquet in very unique colors: Teal, Red and Black! How Rock & Roll is this?
To help with the inspiration, she sent me a photos of her wedding shoes (Iron Fist) -- I knew that I was going to make something totally fabulous for her special day!

I had the pleasure to create for a super sweet Australian Bride  fabulous bouquets for her and bridal party...Her wedding  theme was "Sprinkles" -- inspired by her sprinkles covered wedding cake!

It was so much fun to play with happy colors...The bouquets turned out so beautiful...fun but elegant for a lovely wedding!
